Net revenue

The net revenue report also shows net revenue by day, week, month and quarter.

To see detailed information on total net revenue for a given time period, hover over the point in the line graph. To see detailed information on total net revenue for specific product categories, hover over the specific category bar you wish to see. This will also show the percentage of total net revenue attributable to this category for the chosen time period. Below the graph, you can see number of terms offered, units sold, Piano fee and net revenue for each category. Sort by any of the headers by clicking on them. You will then see an arrow pointing up for ascending, to sort descending, click again.

All offers

This is the default setting for the report. Every offer and term is available for the report view. If an offer or term is available, it can be selected against to all you to view the available data.

USD Merchant Account

This is the default setting for displaying dollar amounts for the report.

MMM DD, YYYY - MMM DD, YYYY

This is the date range for the report. The available settings are Day, Week, Month and Quarter. These set the increments that the report will display.

XX total net revenue in this period

This is a summation of all the paid transactions within the defined period, less any transaction fees. Unlike the Transactions report on the Dashboard, this total also includes $0.00 transactions (like trial terms). Refunds are not included in this total.

Hovering over the top line bar graph for a given increment will show the Net Sales and Performance for the day. The performance is a Growth Rate calculation, based on the prior increment. For example, if the date range for the report is set to display in days, a given day’s Performance growth rate will use the previous day as the basis.

Each available category is displayed in the report, represented by a different colored bar graph.

Total new sales by category in this period

This is a summation of each purchase category over the entire date range displayed. This excludes any trial transactions (because they are zero). It takes the amount of each payment, subtracts the tax amount paid (if we calculated tax), we also subtract the external provider fee. For each transaction, we record the Amount Cost or Piano Fee. The fields are mutually exclusive, defined by the mode the application is set to use. Only one or the other amount is ever included in a this field; both are never included. Piano Fees are configured by Piano Administrators on a per application basis. The formula is entered in Pricing, at the application level.

Category

Each Offer is grouped together into Categories for display to the user.

Terms

The total number of terms available for a given Category are displayed here.

Units Sold

This is a summation of all the paid and trial transactions within the defined period by Category. Unlike the Transactions report on the Dashboard, this total also includes $0.00 transactions (like trial terms). Refunds are not included in this total.

Fee

This is the total of all Piano Fees applied to each of the transactions associated with the units sold, within the referenced Category.

Net Revenue

This is a Net Revenue calculation. This is the sum total of all paid transactions within the category, less any Piano fees.
